When I see stuff like this I’m always reminded of things Charlie Munger said.
Basically, people waste their precious time and capital on comparisons with others, and it actually makes them poorer and more likely to do stupid things. It’s the unfortunate nature of humans and everyone is vulnerable to it in one way or another.
BTW, all you need to keep in your mind to understand Charlie Munger is that you must have strategies and premises that ensure you avoid doing stupid things.
My perspective is that the poorer you are, the less you should compare yourself to anyone. The intensity of comparison should match the level of wealth—maybe. Instead of comparing try to figure out what the people above you know that you don’t, in order to gain competence.
