Everything got way ahead of itself, perhaps except Bitcoin which was already on the way down.
The underlying thing is that the global economy sucks and everyone at the top is lying about it.
Silver went vertical—generally that’s not a good sign for anything. But in this case supply shortages often lead to big unwinding. Eventually the long term price will reach a level that creates an equilibrium for the supply chain but getting to that price all at once is never a good thing.
Gold also over extended gains, but not to the degree of silver. In hindsight the best play would have been to swap silver for gold on the GSR crash. Did a little bit of that but supply constraints made it very difficult to immediately acquire physical gold so it didn’t move the needle much for me.
Bitcoin is risk-off fuckery and Saylor is not helping by making cult leader-like statements. Obviously, the new booty crypto treasury companies have sold. MSTR may have cash but that can be depleted quickly to pay out dividends. Going back to what I said a while back; 2026 is giving me 2018 vibes around Bitcoin. But the kicker is that there may be other revelations that a lot of the pumpers don’t want to hear.
Why is all this taking place and what am I doing? The why is simple: The global economy is a lie. What I’m doing hasn’t changed: Acquiring assets, leveraging, creating cash flows, rinse and repeat.
