Marriage in the US today is an irrevocable trust. The man is the guarantor, the woman is the beneficiary and the government is the trustee. The trust becomes payable in full from the man to the woman whenever the woman declares “I’m not happy". Then the government enforces the payment with the threat of uniformed thugs and locking the man in a cage and ripping his assets from him if he does not comply.
