A role stated as "remote", but the recruiter told me it was in Pascagoula Missisippi and that I would have to move there. I'm brown but currently surrounded by asians and white people.

There are many levels of wage slavery.
And at every level something has been taken away from the slave and then provided for them as a condition of employment servitude.
America was founded as a country where people were supposed to be able to take care of themselves, creating a government that had limited powers that were to be used ONLY to protect the rights and interests of the body of sovereignty. Almost everyone has forgotten that.
Now, people get jobs for the “benefits”—which include time off from work while still getting paid, and think they’ve achieved something. It’s just a softer version of the peculiar institution that has existed since the first organization of humanity.
