So funny. I met a chick off Match way back in 2010. We went on a couple of dates and she was a stuck up bitch. She was a lawyer and acted like she was better than me. I never banged her. Priced out another Mitch today. He calls himself telling me what I’m going to do. Even said “Lonely driver I didn’t ask you for all that, I asked you how much to replace xxx part.”
In my mind, I got irritated but I kept my cool and mathematically added 50% to everything I quoted. He scurried away after he heard those prices.
This was a former customer that I worked my ass off for because I was hungry, but didn’t quite understand my value. I undervalued the work and ate glass during that season. It taught me a valuable lesson, literally. Most people only shop with you because you are too cheap. If everyone says yes to your offer, you are too low. Get them prices up. Stop working so hard for less.
