By request, I ran another Crude Birth Rate analysis with “Clawd”, this time for China. Me Breddas, this one is even crazier!
For this analysis, Clawd used World Bank data going back to 1970. Recall from my
previous post that the US Crude Birth Rate has fallen 42% since 1970, landing at 10.7 in 2023. China’s CBR has collapsed 81%, down to just 6.39!
Also, it looks like China’s system has nothing left to snap back to. Even worse is Clawd’s projections put China’s demographic collapse around 2031–2036…Lawdamercy! 🔔🔔🔔 (Btw, the included graph shows China’s decline in yellow.)
As you might suspect, China’s One-Child policy raw-dogged them. It didn’t just reduce births; from a dynamical systems perspective, it appears to have permanently destabilized the attractor it would have maybe had. The brief CBR bump in the graph shows when the policy was relaxed in 2015 looks exactly like a system trying and failing to find a new equilibrium.
In short: the asteroid was already sent ...
