The problem with this bitch might illiteracy, and definitely entitlement.
Amex tells you explicitly that there is no lounge access for economy class tickets. And even if the airline upgrades at the counter, you still might not get lounge access.
The reason behind that is premium lounges are becoming madhouses. Not long ago I took a flight from DC to Zurich. No Centurion lounge or other card accessible lounges at C terminal so I had to to use the UA lounge. What a fukn zoo, and it’s a pretty big business/first class lounge.
Anyway, there are rules. If you don’t follow the rules you can’t get the goodies. It doesn’t matter what you think it should be, it only matters what is.
